Making a Difference: Westside Beltline Clean-Up

We've been wanting to offer more opportunities for our community to get involved in local volunteer efforts so we have officially adopted a segment of the Westside Beltline! Now we will be able to offer volunteer opportunities on a more regular basis :)     

Join us on April 4 at the Stafford Street Park where we will begin our clean up around our Beltline segment. We will first share a short history of the Mozley Park neighborhood before removing litter and invasive plants and making it a better place for the surrounding communities and Beltline users.   

After our clean-up, we will enjoy some snacks, beverages, and giveaways provided by REI.

[The Westside Beltline is located on the ancestral lands of the Muscogee/Creek people]  

Time: 10am - 1:00pm  

Trail Details/Accessibility: Main trail has paved surfaces, dirt surfaces along the side of the trail where we will be working. Stroller and Wheelchair accessible.   

Fees: FREE  

Bathrooms: Not available  

Families & children welcome!  

Pets: Leased Well-behaved pups are welcome   

Parking: FREE on-street parking on Stafford St SW and Jasper St SW  

Public transportation: Take blue or green line to Ashby station, then take bus #3 to Martin L King Jr Dr @ Stafford St SW and walk 0.1 to Stafford Street Park  

What to bring/wear: A refillable water bottle and snacks. Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes that you don't mind getting sweaty in, preferably long sleeve shirts and pants.
